If you are looking for the perfect momos chutney same as the one from restaurant, then this is the perfect recipe for you. A spicy chutney made from tomatoes ,red chilies and garlic is perfect for dipping in dumplings/momos.
This momos chutney is spicy with slightly tangy and garlicky flavor. This taste and flavor complements well when served with mild flavored momos.
Apart from veg momos, this spicy momo chutney also goes well with any pakora or fritters or aloo tikki.

momos chutney | momos sauce recipe
INGREDIENTS
2 cup water
3 tomato, ripened
4 dried red chilli
4 clove garlic
1 inch ginger
1 tsp sugar
1 tsp rice vinegar
¼ tsp salt
1 tsp soy sauce
INSTRUCTIONS
- In a deep bottom pan, take 2 cup water and add 3 tomato, 4 dried red chilli.
- Cover the pan and cook for 10 minutes or till tomatoes start peeling its skin.
- Switch off the flame and let it cool.
- Once cooled, peel off the tomato skin and transfer to the blender.
- Add garlic, ginger,sugar, vinegar, salt and soy sauce.
- Blend this in to a smooth paste. This chutney is ready to be served with hot and steaming momos. Enjoy!
NOTES
- Adjust the spice level by adding red chilies.
- Adjust the amount of sugar depending on the tanginess of tomatoes.
- This momos chutney stays good for a week or more when refrigerated.
