These Mediterranean Nachos with Pita Chips and Hummus are topped with crumbly feta cheese, cherry tomatoes, chickpeas, Kalamata olives and a tangy tzatziki sauce. They make a perfect party appetizer!

One of the best things about nachos, aside from their dig-right-in appeal, is that they are very flexible when it comes to ingredients, and they are a great way to use up leftovers.
I’ve been pondering nachos a lot lately. There are just so many variations out there.
I put a huge dollop of hummus in the middle of the plate – Because, for me, the hummus is the star of the show. Creamy, tangy and the perfect way to get all those other bits to stick to your pita chips.
They’re so effortless for me to make and everyone loves them! What’s not to love about a sheet pan full of crunchy pita chips covered in so many great Mediterranean toppings?!
INGREDIENTS NEED FOR MAKING THIS NACHOS:
To make these Mediterranean Nachos, I used the following ingredients:
- Cedar’s Pita Chips – crispy, crunchy and makes the best base for these nachos.
- Hummus – creamy and hearty, Mediterranean hummus helps all the delicious toppings stick so each bite is flavor packed
- Boiled Chickpeas – lightly seasoned with salt, it adds the perfect touch to make these nachos a whole meal
- Veggies – These nachos get a refreshing crunch from diced cucumber, cherry tomatoes and red onion.
- Olives & Feta – Mediterranean nachos just wouldn’t be the same without these classic ingredients
- Tzatziki – this creamy Greek yogurt tzatziki dip is the perfect replacement for traditional sour cream on these nachos
HOW TO MAKE THIS NACHOS:
- Place pita chips on the bottom of plate/bowl
- Top with hummus, tzatziki, chopped cucumber, tomatoes, chickpeas, red onion, olives and feta
- Garnish with parsley and enjoy! Serve immediately.

Mediterranean Nachos
Ingredients
- 6 oz baked pita chips
- 1/2 cup Cedar’s Mediterranean Hummus
- 1/2 cup Cedar’s Tzatziki Sauce
- 1 medium cucumber diced
- 1/4 cup cherry tomatoes
- 1/4 red onion diced
- 1/4 cup olives Kalamata or your favorite type
- 1/4 cup feta cheese
- 1/4 cup chickpeas boiled
- fresh parsley chopped
Instructions
- Place pita chips on the bottom of plate/bowl
- Top with hummus, tzatziki, chopped cucumber, tomatoes, chickpeas, red onion, olives and feta
- Garnish with parsley and enjoy! Serve immediately.
Notes
- Feta cheese is available plain or flavored. You could use cheese with garlic, basil, sun-dried tomato or herbs.
- Roast the chickpeas with seasoning and add it to the nachos for extra crunch.
- You can use homemade hummus in this recipe.
- You can also add your favorite toppings, veggies, proteins.
