Mediterranean Hummus Tart

Flaky pastry crust filled with hummus, roasted veggies and topped with fresh olives slices and feta cheese. This tart is so delicious and so easy to make!

Ingredients
  

  • 1 pack frozen puff pastry squares thawed in the refrigerator
  • 2 tbsp milk
  • 2 tbsp sesame seeds
  • 1 cup veggies cherry tomatoes, onion, bell peppers
  • 1 tsp oil
  • 1/2 tsp pepper
  • 1/8 tsp salt
  • 10 z Hummus
  • 1 pound strawberries stems removed and sliced
  • 1/4 cup black olives
  • 1/4 cup feta cheese

Instructions
 

  • Defrost the pastry in refrigerator overnight.
  • Using the tip of a sharp knife, score a one-inch border around the pastry and using the fork prick inside the puff pastry, being careful not to cut all the way through. Brush the border with milk and sprinkle with sesame seeds.
  • Preheat the oven to 375 C and bake these prepare pastry in a lined baking sheet for 13-15 minutes, until golden brown and puffed.
  • Remove the puff pastry from the oven and gently press down on the center of the pastry to flatten it slightly. Allow the border to remain thick and puffed up. Cool to room temperature.
  • Roast the veggies( Peppers, Onions, Cherry Tomatoes) in pan with tsp of oil, salt and pepper.
  • Top the tart with hummus, roasted veggies and olives. Sprinkle with crumbled feta cheese, if desired. Refrigerate or serve immediately.
