JUMP TO RECIPE

Homemade Cheesy Garlic Bread is a cheesy, so ooey gooey recipe that’s melt-in-your-mouth AH-MAZINGLY! It takes minutes to put together and my go-to side dish for any Italian meal!

Serve alongside pasta, soup or salad as an easy, delicious side dish. We also love to serve this as an appetizer at parties.

It doesn’t get much better then a warm slice of cheesy garlic bread straight from the oven. Perfect for dipping in marinara sauce or serving as a side to all your favorite pastas and soups.

INGREDIENTS NEEDED:

For this easy garlic bread recipe, you’ll need:

  • Plain flour
  • Lukewarm water
  • Sugar
  • Salt
  • Yeast
  • Unsalted butter
  • Shredded mozzarella
  • Grated garlic
  • Fresh parsley

HOW TO MAKE CHEESY GARLIC BREAD?

Here is the steps to make:

  • Prepare the dough
  • Divide and shape the dough
  • Proof the dough
  • Top with cheese, garlic and herb mixture
  • Bake the bread

WHAT ARE THE HERBS USED ON GARLIC BREAD?

Every garlic bread recipe differs. Some garlic bread recipes just use garlic as their only spice, while others branch out and add Italian spices like oregano or basil or parsley or cilantro.

HOW TO STORE GARLIC BREAD?

Store: Wrap leftovers with foil and store in the fridge for 2-3 days. The bread will gradually become stale so freeze if you want to store them for a longer amount of time.

Reheat: the microwave works, but we prefer the oven or toaster oven.

HOW TO SERVE THIS GARLIC BREAD?

This cheesy garlic bread is hands-down my ultimate garlic bread. It’s pretty much a meal in itself. Serve it with some marinara sauce and you have an amazing appetizer. Or pair it up with a favorite dish like my Lasagna, Baked Spagetti.

RECIPE NOTES:

  • We can also use olive oil instead of egg wash which will give a nice shine and that subtle olive oil flavor to the bread.
